05-30-05: Quite a weekend. Friday's show at the Cannon Mt. View was a decent one. Things got hopping at the Wildcat Inn & Tavern the following night. We've sort of developed a reputation for playing Eye Of The Tiger up there; we can't seem to get out of that place without playing it, now. Someone always asks for it.
And so much for not working the following day; No Limitz was invited to play at the Boot Hill Saloon in Laconia. We'll be playing that place again real soon, I can tell you. We were very well received.
Today was fairly relaxed by comparison; I did a little recording for the TwinGeekz Artz Project.

05-25-05: The Wildcat Inn & Tavern is too far away. Man, it was fun, but I got in at about 2:30am. I'm a bit shagged this morning, I don't mind saying. It was a pretty good open mic though; when I got my little time slot, I just played some originals. Let's see, I did Between The Rain, My Head Is Peeling, Do It In Public, and Red Zero. Oh, and I ended the night with The Gambler, which I definitely did NOT write, but works well as a sing-along show-closer.
I'm staying low-key for the next couple days. Friday I'm in Franconia, and Saturday I'm making the trip back up to Jackson. At least I won't have to work the following day that time.

05-24-05: Busy busy. It was a good weekend all around. Sunday was a day of recovery and recording. I've got a song submitted to SongFight, in the fight called Courage.
Tonight is the open mic at the Wildcat Inn & Tavern. This Friday I'm playing a solo show at the Cannon Mt. View in Franconia. That's one of my favorite spots. Great food. I got the white pizza last time I was up there, and it was incredible.

05-19-05: Pretty good night at Rosa Flamingo's. I like playing there. And the food is SO good. I rolled out a couple songs I hadn't done before, and they went well enough.
Tonight is an early show at Walter's Basin in Holderness. It starts at 6pm, and finishes up at 9, which is a good thing, because the next two nights will be much later. No Limitz returns to Goodfella's on Friday and Saturday, and those shows go until 1am or so. It's such a blast playing there, though. And actually, the food there is excellent, too. I was doing really good on my diet before I started booking all these shows.

05-16-05: Saturday's show at the Sunset Grill was quite good. I was there Sunday too, as it turned out; Bob King asked me to host the open mic for him. Fun, but a long weekend. I seem to be saying that a lot these days.
This week will be particularly busy. Wednesday I'm at Rosa Flamingo's in Bethlehem; Thursday is an early evening show at Walter's Basin in Holderness; and Friday/Saturday, No Limitz returns to Goodfella's Tavern & Grill in Laconia.
If you haven't yet done so, check out the TwinGeekz Artz Project. Some friends and I have taken on the task of producing a piece of 'art' every week for a year. Week two submission were just posted earlier today. Some pretty cool stuff so far.

My new T-shirt, made by Annaliesa.
05-11-05: Good times at the Wildcat Inn & Tavern. Lots of good players there last night. Boy, it was a late night though. I got in at 2:30.
That's it for shows until Saturday, when I play at the Sunset Grill in Campton. A much easier commute. With my time off, I'll be working on this week's TwinGeekz Artz Project submission.

05-10-05: Saw Ben Folds last night at UNH. What fun. This dude called Corn Mo opened up, and he was crazy. I picked up his CD and he signed it for me. I'm such a fanboy. But hey, this guy plays accordion and writes songs about lollipops and baloney, and he's opening for Ben Folds. Awesome.
Tonight is the open mic at the Wildcat Inn & Tavern. I played a solo show there over the weekend that went pretty well. People were into it, but the place emptied out a little early. I think I finished up around 11:30 or so. I got to try out a few new tunes up there, which is good. With my schedule the way it is, the only time I can really work out new stuff is in front of a crowd. It was all right though; nothing too complicated about covering Tommy Tutone, you know what I'm sayin'?

05-05-05: Happy Cinco de Mayo. I played the open mic at the Lucky Dog last night. Good fun. Masceo was the host, and they were great as always. I picked up their CD while I was there. It's well worth it.
A couple shows coming up this weekend; Friday I'm with Project 93 (formerly the Red Hat Band) at the Bridgewater Inn, and Saturday is a solo show up at the Wildcat Inn & Tavern.

05-03-05: It's going to be a busy busy summer for yours truly! Starting Friday, June 24, I'll be playing at The Margate on Lake Winnipesaukee every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday straight through until Labor Day weekend. That's 33 shows. Wow! I'll be making a few other solo and band appearances over the course of the summer, too; check the Shows page for a full rundown.
The Margate shows are going to be down in their Beach Bar. Awesome. Just look:

In other news, the TwinGeekz Artz Project has begun. The fruits of our labors will be posted Sunday. If you have heard my SongFight! entry this week, then you've also heard my first TGAP submission.
And in other other news, my song Asshat is the Song Of The Day over at Garageband.com. Woohoo!
|
05-02-05: Finally did some recording over the weekend. I'll have a song in this week's SongFight, called Don't Break My Heart Again, George Lucas. I gave it my best Soundgarden impression. For some reason. The new fights should be up sometime tonight or tomorrow; check 'em out, yo.
In other news, there is no other news. What am I, a news guy?
