10-26-04: After probably too little consideration, I've decided to add another blitzkrieg project to my list. November is
National Novel Writing Month. The idea is to start on November 1st, and write 50,000 words
by the end of the month. It sounds like a lot, especially for someone like myself who has never tried to write anything of such length. But I
like the spirit of it; it's a lot like SongFight and the Album-A-Day project,
and I surprise myself with the results on both of those. So, I'm going to dive into NaNoWriMo and see what I come
up with. If anyone feels like trying it out themselves, I urge you to check out their website. What's the worst that can happen? You end up with a piece-of-crap
manuscript, I guess. I can live with that. | 10-20-04: A bunch of SongFighters did covers of King Arthur's tunes recently. Check out my version of
The Puppet's Dream. In fact, you'd do well to peruse all of the King Arthur covers. | 10-13-04: I just heard from Rick Clogston. His band (if the band has a name, I haven't heard it) is playing the Bridgewater Inn on October 30, and I'll be there.
Apparently the owner of the club wants us to wear halloween costumes. Any suggestions for a cool costume that won't interfere with the duties
of a keyboard player are greatly appreciated.
In other, completely unrelated news, the US presidential election is coming up. Fear not, I'm not going to go off on any political rants here. I just want to
direct your attention to a pretty cool web site, called GET OFF THE INTERNET AND VOTE. They've got
a cool thing going on over there. And while it can be argued that your vote may or may not make a difference, NOT voting surely accomplishes nothing, so get
out there this November. |
